Building a high-impact HR Community from the ground up

In 2015, Tap’d Solutions was founded with a clear purpose: to help organisations unlock the potential of their people through smart, research-led organisational development. A year later, they approached us with a brief to help build their brand, raise their visibility in a crowded HR consultancy space, and support long-term business growth through marketing that mattered.

They needed more than a typical marketing agency. They needed a partner who understood their world, could shape their voice, and build a credible presence from the ground up.

OUR APPROACH

Since 2016, we’ve worked closely with the Tap’d team as their strategic marketing partner. Our support has evolved over the years as the business has grown, but the focus has remained consistent: build trust and nurture meaningful relationships with HR leaders.

A complete brand refresh
Including new brand identity, logo, website, and a suite of engaging sales and pitch materials.

Content with credibility
Each year we have built out a full content marketing strategy with thought leadership at its core – reports that have addressed some of the most important challenges for HR leaders including organisations’ productivity challenges, building resilience, inclusion, dispersed team leadership, hybrid working, line manager development and the HR leader’s own wellbeing, blogs, webinars, and tools that offer real value to HR professionals.

In-person community building
Pre-Covid we launched quarterly forums for senior HR leaders, bringing 40–50 decision-makers together each time to share challenges and insights. Since Covid, events have evolved into quarterly roundtable discussions for Chief People Officers.

A top-ranking podcast
Tap’d Talks HR – a podcast launched back in 2018 and designed to give a voice to current issues in HR – over 100 episodes later, the series has now surpassed 15,000 downloads.

A thriving online network
Through the years we have built and nurtured a community of over 1,750 engaged HR leaders through targeted comms.

Marketing infrastructure
We implemented HubSpot to underpin lead nurturing and customer journey mapping, and crafted a social media strategy to support community growth.

More than numbers, we’ve helped position Tap’d as a trusted voice in the HR consultancy space – known for their insight, relevance, and consistent engagement.

They’ve become our longest-standing client. And while much has changed since 2016, our shared ambition to elevate HR conversations hasn’t.

What has really impressed me with PSM is you look at a number of these big consulting firms and what they are promoting and you know they probably have lots of people behind the scenes working on it, with significant budgets. PSM has distilled our brand down to work only on the things that will truly improve the brand and to avoid anything that might be in danger of diluting it.
